Our Tenets

Planted City Church follows the doctrine of The Church of Pentecost, holding firmly to the following 11 core beliefs:

The Bible

We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures. The Bible is final in its authority and comprehensive for all matters of faith.

Scriptures: 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21

The One True God

We believe in the existence of the One True God, Elohim, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient.

Scriptures: Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14

The Depraved Nature of Humanity

All have sinned and fall short of God's glory, and humanity is in need of repentance and regeneration through Jesus Christ.

Scriptures: Romans 3:23, Acts 2:38, John 3:3

The Saviour

Jesus Christ is the only Savior. His death, resurrection, and ascension provide salvation to all who believe in Him.

Scriptures: John 1:1, Matthew 1:21, Philippians 2:6-11

Repentance, Justification, and Sanctification

Repentance and faith in Christ lead to justification before God, and the Holy Spirit sanctifies believers for a holy life.

Scriptures: Acts 2:38, Romans 4:25, John 17:2-3

Baptism and The Lord’s Supper

We practice baptism by immersion and partake in the Lord’s Supper as testimonies of our faith in Christ.

Scriptures: Matthew 28:19, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

Baptism, Gifts, and Fruit of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues and the operation of spiritual gifts and fruit.

Scriptures: Acts 2:4, 1 Corinthians 12:8-11, Galatians 5:22-23

Divine Healing

Healing is provided for in Christ’s atonement. We believe in God's power to heal and restore.

Scriptures: Isaiah 53:4-5, James 5:14-16

Tithes and Offerings

We practice tithing and giving offerings to support the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

Scriptures: Malachi 3:10, 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

The Second Coming and The Next Life

We believe in the second coming of Christ and the resurrection of the dead, with eternal life for the saved and judgment for the unsaved.

Scriptures: 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, John 5:28-29

Marriage and Family Life

Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, ordained by God for mutual companionship and the raising of godly children.
